On September 14, 2025 accalaimed documentary film producer John Paget was our guest on Coffee With Jim. We discussed his amazing career and a new project, development of a full length Route 66 documentary centennial film. Today on Coffee With Jim, we discuss this amazing project rooted in his first documentary films about Route 66 produced in the 1990s.
We will also be discussing his Route 66 centennial project, Route 66 The Main Street of America that is described as, "An immersive, heartfelt centennial portrait that emerges through the unforgettable stories of the everyday heroes and enduring towns we meet along the way."
Attesting to Paget's skills as a film maker, the debut of the film in hisotric theaters along Route 66 and the accompanying road show has been at sold out venues in Illinois and Missouri. And now as he continues westward along Route 66, he takes time to visit with Jim, talk about the film, and to talk about the magic that has transformed a highway into an icon.
